FUNCTION

Assists in the concept and development of interior design on individually assigned projects.

 OBJECTIVES

- Contributes to the activities of the design team to achieve the high level of interior design quality consistent with the firm's objectives.
- Works closely with the interior and architectural design team members to ensure quality design within time and budget constraints.

TYPICAL TASKS

- Initiates and develops interior design concepts consistent with the established design intent.
- Prepares presentation materials.
- Develops basic interior design details and systems.
- Researchers and selects interior materials, furnishings, finishes and equipment.
- Coordinates with in-house technical staff, outside consultants and project team members.
- Ensures that the design meets code and regulatory standards.
- Order samples and maintains interior’s resource materials.
- Performs site survey and documentation.

 QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:        Zero to three years.
Education:          Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Design, or Interior Architecture.
Registration:       Not required. Should be in pursuit of NCIDQ Certification.
Knowledge:        Basic knowledge of programming, planning and interior design.
