CLAYTON HOMES' OFFICES EARNS LEED CERTIFICATION
November 21, 2009
MHM facilitated the LEED EB certification for Clayton Homes' office. Kevin Clayton of Clayton Homes explains, "Not only did we do the right thing by being environmentally conscious, and focusing on sustainability and LEED certification, but they (MHM and others) made us a lot of money," he said. "We spent $108,000 over the last three years achieving this, and we have directly quantified over $300,000 in savings."

CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES AT MARYVILLE CIVIC ARTS CENTER

The Knoxville News Sentinal reports that representatives of Lawler-Wood development company, McCarty Holsaple McCarty architects and Messer Construction presented an update to the stakeholders of the Civic Arts Center. At the arts center constructions continues; foundations near completion and the steel will be erracted with in the next few weeks.

The ceiling of the University of Tennessee Neyland Stadium East Club is featured in the November issue of Architectural Products Magazine. In the article MHM architect, Stuart Butcher, and MHM interior designer, Barbara Tallent Bach, discuss the design considerations that lead them to choose an Armstrong ceiling system. The designers used a wood veneered ceiling ‘cloud’ system to create a free-floating rhythm in the East Club’s long corridors.
